Progress. Understanding.

By on March 31st, 2015

I am starting to put together the ideas for the understanding of my images. As my Earth Money series progresses I find that there are still more questions than answers. Part of art is growing with it. Its growth reciprocates what you feel.

iPhone-tography

By on March 15th, 2015

Being a little behind the times I just recently acquired a smartphone (iPhone 5C). I went on an impromptu visit to Vaill Point Park and heeded the old rule of “the best camera is the one you have with you”. I took a few photos with the iPhone camera and was pleasantly surprised. In good light it works well. Here are some images that resulted. These are strait from in camera processing no post processing, 1:1 crop was done in phone.

New ideas spark new concepts

By on February 24th, 2015

Sometimes the simplest of ideas can spark an inspiration. The founding of a new idea or concept. This is why art is wonderful; it builds upon itself with infinite possibilities and can connect concepts with a personal interpretation. This past Monday morning had arisen with a new idea. It went totally unrecognized until the evening.

Christmas Day 2014

By on January 26th, 2015

On this particular day of the year, while others are enjoying time with family and friends I like to explore. I am honoring a new tradition that on Christmas day I go and seek out spaces to photograph. Two years ago it was the front of  Walmart – empty and stoic on this day. Last year was the font area of  Home Depot – void and calm.  This year I decided to explore a different kind of space; one that is in the process of radical transformation instead of temporary desolation. The Palm Harbor plaza here is being renovated. I chose the day, Christmas day to record this ephemeral moment of transformation. Enjoy.

More Instant Gratification

By on January 14th, 2015

Increase your productivity with instant gratification. Have a finished product in your hand in 90 seconds. Also it’s not threatening and anyone can do it.  The fleeting moment becomes even more so, but at least there lies something to show for it. Act now and you too can be gratified.

Roadsie Attractions

By on January 1st, 2015

The new year will be a great new place to start.  It is about progress -  all about the things you have passed, and pass again. Its always refreshing to do the things you want to do no matter how small or insignificant. One persons normalcy is another persons treasure. Look everywhere you go.

My holiday image

By on December 17th, 2014

Just want to to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. It can be hectic for most this time of year -  just take it in strides.  If I learned anything from this year it is to be especially thankful for my health and the wealth of such great friends. Be merry and remember to BE the change you want to see in the world. Set the bar. Take a photo.

Cheers

Old Parked Cars

By on November 23rd, 2014

I have an affinity for cars. Especially those of the 1980′s and in derelict. This was just down the road from me. I am an avid follower of the blog: http://www.oldparkedcars.com/ and this is my ode to them.

Persistence

By on October 4th, 2014

Photography, like all art forms, allows for individualism to surface in the artist. A unique vision of the world, or a unique world vision. The vision obtains sustainability in each individual exposure and composition. The right to be. Banalities work best for my vision. The best practice is to keep at practice to allow for the vision to reach fruition.
